Happy Halloween........

From my house way down in Florida.....to your house where ever that may be.....Halloween wishes are coming your way.........

How I miss Halloween way down here in Florida..We live in a retirement area and needless to say, this evening I will not have one little person knocking at my door. I miss having my large bowl of candy siting on my table and looking at all the darling costumes and hearing trick or treat. If I were in Ohio I would be going Halloweening with my grandchildren. I have many happy memories of my mother hallo weening with me and my girls years ago and that is one tradition I want to keep when we move back to Ohio.

I also have many happy memories of the parade that we would have at school. We would all walk around the play grown with our costumes on,. and then walk around the block where the school was located. I remember one year I won the school prize for my costume...sure wish I had a picture of that to share. What would we do with out happy memories of all the years past. In some ways the person that we miss so, is with us in memories of that special day or that special celebration. We just have to take the time to remember.

Well fall is in the air and Thanksgiving will be here soon and then the next wonderful holiday , the day the Christ child was born. Christmas, om my how this year has flown by, the days turn in to months and the months turn into seasons and we start all over again.

I have a verse about how a christian is like a pumpkin I would like to share with you on this Halloween day..............................( Being a christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt of you. Then he opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out the yucky stuff---including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then he carves you a new smiling face and puts his light inside you to shine for all the world to see.)
Till tomorrow.........Sharon Kay
