I just want to go home.....................
I went for my normal morning stroll and I looked at all the palm trees and flowers and they were beautiful. I think because we plan on moving up north for good that I am thinking about the beauty of fall leaves on the trees and the falling snow on a pine tree. I truly miss the seasons. Now mind you one winter in Ohio and I may change my mind .......... brr
Any one that knows me well will think , here she goes again on the move one more time. Well I am here to say that I hope it will be the last move.....I just want to go home. It had been nice living in Florida but I want to go home.....to family and friends. I just want to go home.................I want to find a little home and have my summer place. I want to go to garage sales, and flee markets and an antique mall. I want to find old stuff that I can transfer in to my new cottage look.
I would like a picket fence and flower boxes and all the things that make a house a home.
I would like a picket fence and flower boxes and all the things that make a house a home. At this time in my life I want to settle down and grow old with all the things I love. A cozy warm quilt and a cup of hot tea in a pretty little china cup. I would put the cup on an old table with a lot of old family pictures.
I want to visit with my girls any time I want and see all my grandchildren and go to the apple orchard with them. I want to go on a weekend scrap booking with the girls. I want to go to grandparents day........I want to watch all my little ones grow up. It is funny how time changes things. Years ago when I was working all I could think about was retiring in Florida and after spending many winters here I just want to go home.
I am not looking forward to all the hard work of the big move but I am looking forward to all that I have to look forward to when I get back to Ohio. I love decorating so this will be another two places I will have to work on. In the summer I will be at the summer place. We hope to get a larger place there and I am going to have that decorated in the country cottage look which I so love.
This is a picture of a little corner of my kitchen now and I want to decorate in this style. I have so many favorite things that I will be taking back with me and and bought many wonderful treasures from a friends house sale last summer.
I am going to check out a few more blogs now and this evening enjoy the few good shows on TV and look at more of my

Hugs Sharon...I can tell how much you really do want to go home and I hope you can do so REAL SOON!! At least you got to experience the life of a retiree in Florida but now you can go back home and enjoy your girls and grandkids and all it entails! You have so much to look forward to:-) Love the picture of you and your girls!!! Sharon Kay, oh I have a few tears in my eyes for you. I can feel such a yearning in your words to go home. I can understand why you want to go home and that's the same reason that I won't move away from here...Because of the children & family that is all nestled here.
I hope that you sell your house in Florida very quickly. I saw an advertisment for the Villages on tv last night for the first time. Or, it was the first time I took notice.

Sharon, I'm envious as all get out. It must be fabulous to get to see your daughters anytime you want to & your grandchildren. I understand that very well...smile. And, I love your decorating style...oh yah! Hope the move goes well, with the Lord, there are usually lots of blessings along the way...smile. Hope its that way with your big move.
