Busy Time Of The Year.
Usually January is a quiet time of the year. The month after the hustle and bustle of Christmas. is always a slow down month. This year January is a busy time for us, a month to make appointments, set up a closing for the condo, check out carpet stores and find the right paint colors........A month to shop for furniture and look at wallpaper and borders. As I have said before Charlie is a handy man and I love to decorate so we will both be in our glory getting the condo ready to become our new home. I have taken many classes in decorating and it is the type of work that I should have gone into, it is a work of love for me. Any one can have a house but what you do with the interior makes the house a home. I posted a picture of the bed , the whole bedroom outfit looks like shutters, also bought a computer desk, and a cupboard for the kitchen yesterday. I picked up many paint chips today and will post the colors that I have fallen in love with. So much to do but the one thing we have a lot of is time. We have two months to work on the condo before our friends come back up north and want their summer house back. Selling the house in Florida and finding a place in Ohio has just worked out so well for us and I am very thankful for this.
I miss all the friends we made in Florida and I am so happy that we are in a high tech world where we can visit through email. I wish that all of my friends had a blog like I have.......it is a wonderful way to stay in touch with family and friends. Also a way to meet so many people through out this world.
The condo that we have is about two miles from our summer place at Vista Villa. When we have company in the summer having two places so close will be a blessing. Also our family's will have a place to stay in a resort area which is a good thing. The area we are in is close to Cedar Point and many islands that you can visit by ferry boat also many inside and outside water parks. In the winter it is a quiet place to live but Charlie and I enjoy day trips and traveling so we will keep busy. I have my blog and many things I enjoy doing on the computer and also like to scrapbook and I want to make all of my Christmas presents for 2007...So I will have plenty to keep me busy. Now it is time for a cup of hot chocolate while I read a few of my favorite blogs. Be back soon..............................Sharon Kay

Let me tell those who only know Sharon through blogging, that she is a wonderful decorator.....I remember when we use to see each other as our kids were growing up, we ask for her help in rearranging our front room furniture......she came up with a plan, that I never would have thought of.....her home was to die for.....just a quaint country home.....and her florida home was also really cool.....have fun Sharon....miss you.....Hi Tammy and Amy......oh and you too Charlie.....
Oh yes, you are so blessed, that all your plans have gone through so smoothly. Wonderful!
And I know I'm repeating myself but... I do so look forward to 'coming along with you,' as you do your decorating. I do. I do. I do.

Dear Sharon,
Decorating can be such fun!
Right now I am getting a bit overwhelmed by all the paint colors to choose from ~ I walk into Lowe's and go crazy ~ I end up bringing home about 5o paint chips (and that's just pink)...
Hope you have a great weekend!
I can't wait to see what you do with the place!!

It sounds like you will be in your element with all the decorating you have to do. I enjoy decorating, but not painting! I have a lot of it to do though. I'll be interested to see what colors you've chosen.
Best wishes!

I would love to be with you when you are shopping for furniture. We could have so much fun spending your money and just visiting.
And having a cup of tea and enjoying your view. Your view when I was there last time was beautiful.
