Old Stuff And Such.............

The country cottage condo is coming along, tomorrow new kitchen floors that looks like wood will go in both bath's and kitchen.
The carpet will also be put in this weekend. It is truly looking like my country cottage, and every thing is looking just like I pictured in my mind. The red bedroom with one wall finished in the wallpaper I posted a few weeks ago looks wonderful.
In another week the pod that left Florida with all our belongings will be in the front of the cottage condo. And all my dreams will come true. I wanted to move back to Ohio to be near family, I wanted a home in Port Clinton near our summer place. I wanted to make the condo feel like a country cottage and it is all about to happen.

I am a perfect example of a person who let go and let God......I have wanted to come back home for the last three years but when you are married you have to give and take. I had to wait till the time was right for Charlie. Well that time came and all is well and I am so thankful for all that I have. We went to my granddaughter Jessica's 23rd. birthday last night. It is the first time in eight years that I have been home and able to go to the family celebration for her. I love being home for all the important times in my family's life.
Soon I will be decorating, moving furniture here and there until it looks just right. I know I have way to much stuff and wondering what I am going to do with every thing. I know a lot of you buy and sell on eBay......but that is all new to me and not sure how to go about doing so. I will put all the treasures aside that I can not use and think about eBay later.
So I will be back soon with pictures of the all most finished cottage. I am still working on names for the cottage. So far I will be choosing from the fol ling names
1 Red rose cottage
2 Amelia rose cottage
Untill later ... Sharon K

I'm so happy to read that it's all coming together as you'd pictured. That's exactly what happened when I decorated our new home (four years ago now!)
I could see it in my mind's eye, and what a joy it was to see it come together in reality. Thank you for sharing your happiness with us, and I look forward to the pictures! :)

I was glad to hear from you today!!
Glad to here everything is moving along...
I know at one point you were thinking on changing your blog title...have you thought of maybe "Rose Cottage" as you love them so?
I found out you can change the name without changing blogs...I've changed mine to "Among Friends" and if feels homier to me now!!
But, just never mind me if you love September Morn, then I do to.
Love YOU!

I'm laughing because of my Kentucky accent! A blogger called me the other day and we laughed because we sounded the SAME!
I recently spoke to another one though and we laughed because we sounded DIFFERENT!
Can't wait to see the finished cottage...by whatever name, I'm sure it will look sweet as a rose can...is that your photo with the crochet tablecloth and roses? Great one.

It's wonderful to read that you are so near to being _in_ your wonderful new Country Cottage. I'm so glad and excited for you.

It's heartwarming to hear of someone who's {kinda-long-held} dream comes true. It gives inspiration to all of us.

What a wonderful Spring you will have.

Hugs,

Oh... and both those names, are beautiful!

Wondering if it would be allowed, to have a pretty little discreet sign outside or over your front door.. with the name you choose? Kind of a 'tease,' about what will be found inside... Even though the outside doesn't give the secret away. Just a thought which came to me. :-)

This was funny...I think you were commenting in mine, when I was commenting in yours! :-)

And you're pretty settled on the name of Amelia Rose Cottage, now. Beautiful name!!!

And oh my, those pics I used in my last entry, aren't mine. I got them on art.com, if I remember correctly. Just Search with the word 'Roses' and you will be flooded with beautiful ones, to choose from.

I've been on a shopping trip to Paris this week-end and guess what I found: old vintage postcards with elegant ladies and children! I just saw that you listed them on your "Favorite Things"-List. I can't stop admiring them and look forward to use them for new craftings and sewing projects.

Still thinking of you Sharon Kay. And in hopes of lots of updates and pictures. _When_ you feel like it. :-)

No rush to sit down at your keyboard. Just letting you know that you are in my thoughts.

And thank you Linda, for the above note, in her comments. Hope they both get lots of rest, to really sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labors. :-)

Sounds like you are making lots of progress in turning your new place into the cottage home that you envisioned. Everything sounds lovely. Would like to pop in for a visit if it wasn't so far!

And how wonderful that you are back close to family. That means so much!

I am trying to catch up a bit on my favorite blogs. I have been sick with a nasty cold and cough. Ugh!
